ObjectiveThis session will provide participants with insight and examples of how drones are being used for inspection and analysis in the oil and gas industry
DescriptionThis course shows how drones are emerging as a leading inspection tool in the oil and gas industry. A drone inspection allows you to pinpoint, identify, record, evaluate, display, and report areas of concern and repair. Using both LiDAR and photogrammetry, drones can create 3D models of areas previously inaccessible to humans. Ultrasonic Thickness (UT) drones have given the ability to obtain steel thickness data in previously inaccessible areas.

DescriptionCERS is being updated to a new system called CERS NextGen. Data quality has been a long-standing issue with the current system particularly for the hazardous materials inventory. This session provides an overview of the new system requirements for reporting chemicals, mixtures, and hazardous waste. Topics covered will include hazardous materials, Safety Data Sheets, Chemical Abstract Service (CAS), CAS Numbers, and hazardous waste.

ObjectiveThis session will present participants with LAFD CERS data and how it is available in multiple GIS platforms used for emergency response.
DescriptionWe will use HAZMAT scenarios that have taken place in the City of Los Angeles and how the LAFD used CERS chemical inventory information in their various GIS systems to address the emergency. Specifically, we will cover LAFD GIS systems such as PEAC software and LAFD Ready GIS as well as future projects for incorporating CERS data into 911 dispatch. We will show CUPA's how to correct location info in CERS to aid critical for GIS success.

DescriptionThis class will review websites and webpages, all of which are publicly available, that are full of detailed information which can be used to investigate sites, review compliance, and to see what is around a given area. We will review the sources of data and how to navigate, filter, and find information. We will review the Regulated Site Portal, RCRA Info, the Hazardous Waste Tracking System (HWTS) and more.
