JEFF HOLWAGER, Supervising Hazardous Materials Specialist - Los Angeles County Fire

Mr. Holwager obtained a Bachelors Degree in Environmental & Occupational Health from California State University of Northridge (1994) and is a Registered Environmental Health Specialist with the State of California, since 1995. Mr. Holwager has 29 years of experience working as an environmental regulator for Los Angeles County, with the Environmental Health Dept. and the Fire Dept. In the Environmental Health Dept. he worked in the District Environmental Services Unit conducting Food and Housing inspections, in the Hollywood District Office as a senior inspector and as the Acting Chief of the Water & Sewage Programs and the Mountain & Rural Program. In 2005, Mr. Holwager was hired as a Hazardous Materials Specialist with Los Angeles County Fire Dept., Health and Hazardous Materials Division (HHMD). From 2009 to 2011 Mr. Holwager was the Administrative Enforcement Order Coordinator for the HHMD. In 2012, Mr. Holwager was promoted to Supervising Hazardous Materials Specialist, Inspection Section and he took over the Investigation Unit in October 2018. Mr. Holwager has been assigned to several Statewide Hazardous Materials Technical Advisory Groups (TAG) and Enforcement TAG.
