ObjectiveSession covers use of a RIID for search, detection, and identification of nuclide sources. RIID types and data reachback methods will be presented.
DescriptionORTEC will discuss practical and technical differences of medium- and high-resolution RIIDs; safety information shown when using a RIID; how a RIID can be used to effectively search for, detect, and identify radionuclide sources; how a user can evaluate and download ID results; and typical methods to send stored RIID data to radiological reachback for advanced assessment and verification. A hands on practical session for interested students.

DescriptionThis course is an overview of the OPW 71SO overfill protection valve specifically focusing on installation guidelines concerning initial and final shutoff at a given tank capacity percentage. Additionally, the course will delve into OPW spill bucket types, retrofit ability, and compliance. All topics in this course are meant to aid in current and future regulation and compliance.
