ObjectiveThis session will present participants with LAFD CERS data and how it is available in multiple GIS platforms used for emergency response.
DescriptionWe will use HAZMAT scenarios that have taken place in the City of Los Angeles and how the LAFD used CERS chemical inventory information in their various GIS systems to address the emergency. Specifically, we will cover LAFD GIS systems such as PEAC software and LAFD Ready GIS as well as future projects for incorporating CERS data into 911 dispatch. We will show CUPA's how to correct location info in CERS to aid critical for GIS success.
