Objective	This session will cover proposed changes to California Code of Regulations, title 23, division 3, chapter 16 ahead of the rulemaking period this fall.
Description	To properly regulate legal USTs after the December 31, 2025 closure deadline for single-walled USTs, California Code of Regulations, title 23, division 3, chapter 16 is being rewritten and will go into effect on January 1, 2026. Changes to definitions, certifications, construction, monitoring, testing, closure, and cleanup requirements will be covered. A copy of the draft regulations will be made available before the 45-day public comment period.
