Objective	Present how HHW programs operate and discuss compliance issues and weird wastes. HW programs are subject to many statutes, regulations, and exemptions
Description	Household hazardous waste (HHW) programs provide options for safe disposal of HHW, VSQG, solid waste load checking, and abandoned wastes, are heavily regulated with exemptions. HHW programs are sponsored by local jurisdictions with oversite from CUPAs and DTSC and are subject to conflicting mandates. Product stewardship programs depend on HHW facilities. Weird wastes acceptance requests like solar panels, cylinders, and vape pens are common.
