Objective	Review the Tiered Permitting Program (TPP) and its applicability to specific situations to improve understanding by generators and regulators.
Description	After 30 years, the TPP often remains confusing for generators and CUPAs. As a key step in WW treatment and to reduce offsite haz waste disposal, its important that generators understand the TPP requirements and limitations. Its also important for regulators to understand when onsite processing may/may not be subject to jurisdiction. Case studies and compliance requirements for generators operating under different tiers will also be reviewed.

Description	This course will describe the California Health and Safety Code allowance for the consolidation of non-RCRA hazardous waste from remote sites to a generator site. It will also describe the requirements of the USDOT for the transportation of the non-RCRA hazardous waste as a hazardous material on public roads.

Description	Every wonder why spent solvents are regulated at 10% or more? What are hazard codes and why do I care? Is my solvent-contaminated rag an ignitable D001 when I'm done cleaning with it; what about a spill? Why are some chemicals repeated in the F001 and F002? What is this whole "sole active ingredient" in unused chemicals all about? These questions and more will be answered as we delve deeper into understanding the nuances of waste identification.

Description	On August 21, 2019, U.S. EPAs Management Standards for Hazardous Waste Pharmaceuticals and Amendment to the P075 Listing for Nicotine Rule went into effect. The rule sets forth new regulations for healthcare facilities and reverse distributors managing pharmaceuticals that are hazardous waste. This session will provide background on the rule, an overview of the rules main requirements, and an update on the status of adoption in California.
