JANICE VAN MULLEM, Assistant Fire Marshal - Huntington Beach Fire Dept

Janice Van Mullem is the Fire Marshal for the Huntington Beach Fire Department. She assumed this position in 2020 after three years as the Hazardous Materials Program Specialist and three years as Assistant Fire Marshal. Janice received her Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, a Masters Degree in Science Technology and Public Policy, and a Masters Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering. Janice supervises the Fire Prevention Division which oversees plan reviews, code enforcement, public education and fire investigation, and oversees the Hazmat Business Plan program as a Participating Agency.
