RACHEL FABIAN, Spill Management Team Coordinator - CA Dept of Fish & Wildlife

Rachel Fabian is the Spill Management Team Coordinator at the California Department of Fish and Wildlife's Office of Spill Prevention and Response (OSPR), where she developed OSPRs spill management team regulations and led the implementation of the new program. During oil spills, she coordinates with public health agencies as a Liaison Officer and, more recently, as the Public Health Assessment Coordinator in the Public Health Assessment (PHAU). She co-coordinates the PHAU Workgroup through the National Response Teams Region IX, which is working to develop PHAU as an established function in spill response.
