CHRISTIE BAUTISTA, Environmental Health & Safety Manager - The Huntington Library

Dr. Christie Bautista serves as the first Environmental Health & Safety Manager for The Huntington Library, Art Gallery, and Botanical Gardens, a non-profit organization. Charged with creating a "Culture of Safety", she provides enterprise-wide leadership over the institution's environmental regulatory compliance and occupational safety programs. Dr. Bautista serves as the institution's Safety Committee Chair and the Safety Officer for its Emergency Operations Center. Because of her accomplishment as the first EHS manager with The Huntington and a former California gubernatorial appointee under two administrations, she is recognized as one of the 2023 Amazing Women in History by the California Air Resources Board & California Enviornmental Protection Agency's Women in the Workplace Affinity Group. Currently she serves on the California State University Northridge Master of Public Administration Advisory Board providing recommendations to the University on establishing curriculum that will develop leadership and educates students in public administration. She also serves on the American Society of Safety Professionals - Government Affairs Committee influencing federal occupational safety standards and legislation.
