PAUL FIELDS, Chemical Security Inspector - Dept of Homeland Security
Paul J. Fields is a Senior Chemical Security Inspector with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) assigned to Region IX within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) responsible for chemical facility security regulations.
In this capacity, Mr. Fields is a Subject Matter Expert and is responsible for planning and conducting inspections on high-risk chemical facilities that are required to comply with the regulatory requirements prescribed in the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS), 6 CFR Part 27 and the CFATS Act of 2014. Additionally, Mr. Fields acts as liaison among DHS and other federal/state/local and tribal partners, being an ambassador for the chemical security programs and initiatives.
Mr. Fields has over 20 years of Federal law enforcement experience. Prior to becoming a Chemical Security Inspector, Mr. Fields worked as a Police Officer and Physical Security Specialist with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the U. S. Federal Protective Service (FPS). In addition to his years in federal service, Mr. Fields was a Reserve Police Officer with the San Jose Police Department and was a Qualified Manager/Private Patrol Operator (PPO) for a private security company.
