DAN ZENAROSA, Hazardous Materials Specialist III - Los Angeles County Fire

Dan Zenarosa is a retired medical doctor and a fellow in Occupational medicine. He has a Master in Public Administration and has been working in LA County for the past 21 years. He is a Hazardous Material Specialist in the LA County Fire Department Health HazMat Division assigned in the Administration/Planning Section. He is the editor of the Divisions Newsletter HazMat Release and has written a number of articles on health issues affecting the Department. He is also the Training Coordinator for the Division and is a full member of the American Society of Toxicologic Pathology.

DANA SCHMIDT, Project Engineer - STI/SPFA

Dana Schmidt is the Standards Engineer with STI/SPFA (Steel Tank Institute and Steel Plate Fabricators Association). She develops standards, conducts research, and develops new and improved aboveground and underground tank technologies. Dana has extensive experience working with Underwriters Laboratories and other listing organizations in maintaining STIs Listings and the development of new designs. Dana is the STI/SPFA liaison with the API Sub-committee on Aboveground Storage Tanks and serves on the API Task Group updating the API 12 Series documents. She was also the staff liaison for the consensus committee charged with the development of the STI Standards SP001 and SP031. Dana graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering. She is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Illinois.

DANIEL YNIGUEZ, Supervising Hazardous Materials Specialist - Los Angeles County Fire

Danny is currently a Supervising Hazardous Materials Specialist with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Health Hazardous Materials Division, East Inspections District. Danny received his Bachelor of Science in 1998 in Environmental Occupational Health from Cal State University Northridge and has been a Registered Environmental Health Specialist since 1999. Prior to joining the Los Angeles County Fire Department in 2005, he was an Environmental Health Specialist with the Los Angeles County Environmental Health Department since 1999.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health at California State University, San Bernardino and a Master of Business Administration from the University of La Verne. Danielle is a Registered Environmental Health Specialist and began working for the CUPA program in 2010.

DARRYL BOOTH, General Manager - Accela

Darryl Booth is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Accela's Environmental Health Division, which serves over 50 CUPAs. With over twenty years experience in Public Health and Informatics, Darryls passions include promoting field inspection solutions, GIS, open data, engineering data exchanges, collaborative data standards, and all other technical matters which can propel government services. Darryl and his colleagues worked with California CUPAs since SB 1082 and helped work out the complexities of a CUPA Data Dictionary, Electronic Data Transfer (EDT), and Violation and Checklist Libraries for 48 CUPAs. Now that the initial CERS and EDT standards are built and normalized, Darryl is now looking forward to re-assessing those early requirements in light of CERS capabilities and CUPAs practices. Darryl has a MBA from the Craig School of Business and a BS in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno. He sits on several federal, state, and regional committees and is fanatical about environmental health.

DARWIN CHENG, Supervisor - Orange County EH

Darwin Cheng is a Program Manager for Orange County Environmental Health. He has 19 years of environmental compliance experience. He is also responsible for overall coordination of the Health Hazmat Emergency Response Team. He is a CSTI Outreach Instructor for FRA, FRO and Hazardous Materials Technician. He has a B.S. Microbiology Degree from Cal. State Long Beach and a Juris Doctor from Western States University College of Law.

DAVID GREEN, Deputy District Attorney - Yolo County DA's Office

David Green is a deputy district attorney with the Yolo County District Attorneys office and has been with Yolo County for the last two years. He graduated from UC Davis School of Law in 2012, and has focused on environmental law since then. He started his career with a national nonprofit focusing on climate-change litigation. Afterward, he worked with a private firm focusing on water law before leaving to join the Yolo County District Attorneys office.

DAVID IREY, Supervising Deputy District Attorney - Yolo County DA's Office

In 1985, David Irey received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California, Davis campus. After entering law school at the University of Davis, King Hall School of Law in 1985, he decided to pursue a joint degree program. He earned his Master of Science Degree in Water Science in 1989 and graduated from King Hall the same year. David has been with the San Joaquin County District Attorney Office's Environmental Prosecutions Unit since 1988 and has served in the capacity as a Deputy District Attorney assigned to the Environmental Prosecutions Unit since 1989. Beginning in 1997, he was the lead attorney in the Environmental Prosecutions, Worker Death and Code Enforcement Units. Since 2002 (officially since 2004), David has been the Supervising Deputy District Attorney for the San Joaquin County District Attorney Office's Environmental Prosecutions, Worker Death, Consumer Fraud, and Code Enforcement Units. David has been an active member of the California District Attorneys Association Environmental Protection Committee since the early 1990's and has served on multiple sub-committees, some for over a decade. DEIRDRE WILLIAMS, Hazardous Materials Specialist II - Los Angeles County Fire

Deirdre M Williams holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental and Occupational Health and a minor in Biology from the California State University, at Northridge. At the start of her career she received registration with the state of California as an Environmental Health Specialist, and attained a practitioner status of Industrial hygienist in training by the American Board of Industrial Hygienist. After 5 years in the full time practice of Industrial Hygiene she transitioned from an Industrial hygienist to environmental regulator and hazardous materials responder focusing on performing inspections of hazardous waste generating facilities, handlers of hazardous materials, on site treatment facilities, APSA sites, Incident Command, Incident management and spent several years coordinating Administrative Enforcement Actions and developed procedures and training when the authority expanded in 2006. She received certification from Cal EMAs CSTI as a Hazardous Materials Specialist, an Assistant Safety Officer, Hazardous Materials Instructor, and WMD Technician

DENNIS KARIDIS, Environmental Specialist - Sacramento County EMD

Dennis Karidis was a CUPA evaluator with the California Environmental Protection Agency from 2001-2005 and has been an Environmental Specialist with Sacramento County Environmental Management Department (EMD) from 2005-present. His current duties include hazardous materials, hazardous waste, CalARP, and incident response. Dennis is also the CUPA Forum Board CalARP Technical Advisory Group (TAG) Chair. He has been the lead inspector on many Administrative Enforcement Cases and a number of Civil/Criminal referrals to the District Attorney's Office. He is a graduate of Sonoma State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration and Environmental Studies.
