California Compliance School is a joint program of California Environmental Protection Agency's (Cal/EPA) Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC) and the California Community Colleges. It is designed to bring basic hazardous waste compliance training to generators throughout the state. California Compliance School offers instruction about hazardous waste management by experienced instructors. Participants learn through a number of real world, practical exercises. Sample formats of some required documents are reviewed, including Contingency Plans, Training Plans, and records, Inspection schedules and self-audits, manifests, LDRs, container labels and checklists for waste reductions. Compliance School's materials cover basic concepts and provide references for students to use and learn more.
