VAPOR INTRUSION AND MITIGATION: AN UPDATE & LA CASE STUDY |
03/22/2022 10am - 12pm 1500 of 1500 seats available F-3/22 Clean up Location VIRTUAL PLATFORM Credits REHS: 2.0 |
Objective
Participants will learn about the latest advancements in vapor intrusion evaluation and its mitigation. |
Description
Vapor intrusion is a rapidly evolving field. The session will provide an overview of the current state-of-practice on vapor intrusion and its mitigation (e.g., when mitigation should be considered, mitigation options, and O&M). A case study will present an example of vapor intrusion mitigation measures successfully adopted at a commercial building to address indoor air concentrations of PCE as high as 2,920 g/m3, and the confirmation sampling. An LA Case Study will be presented. |
Speakers
Perry Myers - DTSCJessica Law - RWQCB - Santa Ana Yue Rong - RWQCB Moderator: Gerald O'Regan |
Presentation |
Continuous Indoor Air Monitoring, an Essential Tool for Rapid Evaluation of Vapor Mitigation - A Regulatory Perspective This presentation will discuss a case study of vapor intrusion mitigation measures successfully adopted while utilizing continuous indoor air monitoring at a commercial building to address indoor air concentrations of PCE as high as 2,920 ug/m3, and the confirmation sampling. |
