Objective
A session designed to bring local agencies up to speed on DTSC's new grant program, EJ initiatives, dry-cleaning discovery and enforcement, vapor intrusion approaches, and opportunities for local agency training and collaboration. |
Description
DTSC will provide an overview of new trends, programs and technical approaches at DTSC's site Mitigation and Restoration Program, including:
- $500M Cleanup in Vulnerable Communities Initiative, including:
1. New dry-cleaning Discovery and Enforcement Program
2. New Equitable Community Revitalization Grant for brownfields
3. New community based programs and initiatives for EJ communities
- AB 304's new requirements for Local Agencies and an update of SB 1248 Local Agency notification requirements when making decisions on who will lead cleanup/investigation on a voluntary site
- DTSC's update on vapor intrusion approaches
- DTSC partnership and collaboration with Local Agencies on cleanup projects |
