   Objective
After attending this class, attendees will participate in a hands-on interactive course that will provide a research-based technique for preparing and presenting technical information to the public.
   Description
The course will focus on science-based research behind how emotions impact the processing of information and will teach staff how to develop and express comprehensive key messages. Specific topics will include: Writing and speaking in Plain Language Successful public speaking skills Effective visual presentation Managing challenging field situations and public meeting settings
